Health Care Supply Chain Analyst; Sustainable Weight Loss Strategist; MBA Candidate
As a first-generation college graduate, I have challenged myself to succeed first in government contracting and later in health care supply chain management since graduating in 2016. I have been fortunate enough to work for some inspiring organizations and I am truly grateful for every opportunity to learn and grow as an employee and a human being.
I recently took the opportunity to volunteer in clinical care treating COVID-19 positive patients. I came to the realization that most of the patients suffered from obesity—a completely preventable condition that left them vulnerable to this terrible disease. As someone that has also struggled with obesity, this experience was truly life-changing and reaffirmed my resolve to confront my own problems and to offer help to those that are facing the same challenges.
I firmly believe that health care starts with self-care. A healthy life starts with the individual and that making small changes over time can lead to dramatic improvements in long term health and longevity. By examining different weight loss strategies, I intend to empower others to make informed decisions to improve their health. Only sustainable lifestyle changes lead to permanent weight loss—not fad diets or unnecessary deprivation.
Despite my struggles in the past, I have recently been able to maintain a 60 pound weight loss—even during a pandemic that has impacted my life personally and professionally. Instead of becoming disheartened from past failures, I kept trying because deep down I felt that my life was worth saving. Although weight loss may take some trial and error, each and every one of us is capable and worthy. Your life is worth saving and I’d be honored to help you find strategies that empower you to make the changes you need to live a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
